1. Hanstar 558 = almost same size as the Hakko fx-301. Its actually a better alternative because its boiler bath is titanium alloy.Plus its price almost just half of the Hakko fx-301.

1. this Hanstar Solder Pots are made in China, but definitely, this solder pots are miles ahead against competition. Pricewise: it is about 50% cheaper, Qualitywise & Durability & Performance :it is superior even against brands from Japan or USA.

2. the solder pot has 1 year warranty for the main solder pot station. The heater & the Titanium alloy boiler pot is considered consumable so it has limited warranty of 3 months only to protect the suppliers against client abuse of warranty.

But under normal operation, the long-life heater & the "high temp treated" titanium alloy boiler can last 2 to 3years & longer.

AFTER REPLACEMENT OF HEATING ELEMENT, PLS DO THE CALIBRATION:
CALIBRATION INSTRUCTION:

1. PRESS LONG THE CALIBRATION BUTTON ( INCHING BUTTON) TO INITIATE THE CALIBRATION TESTING PROCESS.
The Left LCD display (WORKING), the Right LCD display ( INCHING)
Then the Left LCD display will be “SC”, & The right LCD display = “0”
-          The SC reading should be = 0.0 . if not, then adjust it using the DOWN,UP,SET buttons to become “0.0”
-          Press INCHING BUTTON again Afterwards, you can see the LOC = 0
-          Then Adjust theLOC value from  “0” to “808” , using the DOWN,UP,SET buttons
After this, press the INCHING BUTTON Again, The NEXT display will be HIAL= its value must be “601”
If the value is not “601”, then adjust it using the DOWN,UP,SET buttons to make it “601”
2. Press the INCHING Button again after you set the HIAL= “601”,
    the Next Display will be LOAL . set the value of LOAL TO “-1”
3.  Then press the INCHING button again & follow the values below

The table below summarizes information on the electrical systems in use in most countries of the world.

The voltages listed here are the “nominal” figures reported to be in use at most residential or commercial sites in the country or area named. Most electrical power systems are prone to slight variations in voltage due to demand or other factors. Many former 220 V countries have converted or are in the process of converting to the EU standard of 230 V. Generally, this difference is inconsequential, as most appliances are built to tolerate current a certain percentage above or below the rated voltage. However, severe variations in current can damage electrical equipment.

The electric power frequency is shown in the number of hertz (cycles per second). Even if voltages are similar, a 60-hertz clock or tape recorder may not function properly on 50 hertz current. All systems described here use alternating current (AC). The plug types listed indicate all types known to be in use in that country. Not all areas of a country may use all types of plugs listed for that country, since there may be regional differences based on the power system in a certain area.

Finally, I've only included information that is likely to be relevant for travelers. Just about everywhere listed here has higher voltage lines available for heavy duty appliances (not to mention commercial or industrial applications). While this would be relevant for those moving to another country, I'm assuming most travelers will leave their clothes dryers, air conditioners and arc welders at home!
