=Dial 16211 from any landline



Recently ,we had a Meralco connection problem, when our connection are loose & the wires are sparking above our roof. So i was forced to turn off the main switch

then begin the very stressful of looking what is the emergency hotlines,
i looked in the billing, i cannot find the emergency number

since our electricity if Off, our internet is also off, so i called some friends to google it for me,
some are helpful , & gave me all the landline & celfon numbers, but all cannot be connected.

our helpful neighbor also lend her mobile phone with internet so we can search, but nothing good comes in the search.

this is beginning to be very stressful since my children cannot sleep properly and we are the only house without electricity.

eventually, i went to the Meralco station at Santa Rosa, Laguna, so i can ask there what is the emergency numbers?

there, the helpful guard assist me in their landline & said the emergeny number is 16211.

there the 1st lady i called was also not in the mood as I AM! i am not in my proper mood & also very stressed at the happening. the 1st lady that answered my call is not very helpful. Pinagbagsakan ako ng telephone. hindi ko naman siya binabastos, sabi ko lang hindi important sa akin yang mga report numbers, at hindi ko alam account number namin since hindi ko dala ang billing,  all i want to know is when will Meralco can visit our house & fix the problem. i have given my name & address.  I hope she will get rich & transfer to a new job as see in not suitable in this kind of job where most of callers are stressed

then we called again, there the 2nd lady is helpful, and i made the report.

tips when calling is that you need to have your Meralco billing in your hand.& as some of the ladies will not entertain you really if you cannot give your Meralco account number, it seems your name & address is not enough for them.

How about for emergency? do you really need the Meralco billing in your hand so they will help you? that is bullshit.

lastly, i went back to our house & wait, after about 4 long hours, & the Meralco subcontractors arrived & fix our problem fast in maybe about 5-10 minutes only, Good job & many thanx,

now as i am doing this blog,  i see in the Meralco billing at the top center, with very little font

" For inquiries please contact our call center at 16211"

i slap my forehead & then i think, i still cannot call this number because we have no landline telephone anymore since i recently switched to SKYcable internet which is a lot faster than the very very very slow PLDT connection that we have since 2006

i hope Meralco can give decent emergency number that can be contacted using mobile phones

so i blog this piece because i know there are also many other people who will need to know the emergency number of meralco in the future. and it is : 16211

International System of Units (SI)

 



 

The International System of Units (SI) is the modern form of the metric system and is the most widely used system of measurement. It comprises a coherent system of units of measurement built on seven base units. Here they are:

  1. Meter (m) for length
  2. Kilogram (kg) for mass
  3. Second (s) for time
  4. Ampere (A) for electric current
  5. Kelvin (K) for thermodynamic temperature
  6. Mole (mol) for amount of substance
  7. Candela (cd) for luminous intensity

These base units are used in combination with each other and with a set of prefix multipliers to derive other units of measurement for quantities like speed (meters per second), volume (cubic meters), and density (kilograms per cubic meter), among others.
 
 
In addition to the seven base units in the International System of Units (SI), there are also many derived units. These are formed by combining the base units according to the laws of physics. Here are some examples:

  1. Newton (N) for force: This is equal to one kilogram meter per second squared (kg·m/s²).
  2. Joule (J) for energy, work, or amount of heat: This is equal to one newton meter (N·m) or one kilogram meter squared per second squared (kg·m²/s²).
  3. Watt (W) for power or rate of doing work: This is equal to one joule per second (J/s) or one kilogram meter squared per second cubed (kg·m²/s³).
  4. Pascal (Pa) for pressure or stress: This is equal to one newton per square meter (N/m²) or one kilogram per meter per second squared (kg/m·s²).
  5. Hertz (Hz) for frequency: This is equal to one cycle per second (1/s or s⁻¹).
  6. Coulomb (C) for electric charge or quantity of electricity: This is equal to one ampere second (A·s).
  7. Volt (V) for electric potential or electromotive force: This is equal to one watt per ampere (W/A) or one kilogram meter squared per second cubed per ampere (kg·m²/s³·A).
  8. Ohm (Ω) for electric resistance: This is equal to one volt per ampere (V/A) or one kilogram meter squared per second cubed per ampere squared (kg·m²/s³·A²).
  9. Siemens (S) for electric conductance: This is equal to one ampere per volt (A/V) or one second cubed ampere squared per kilogram meter squared (s³·A²/kg·m²).
  10. Farad (F) for electric capacitance: This is equal to one coulomb per volt (C/V) or one second to the fourth power ampere squared per kilogram meter squared (s⁴·A²/kg·m²).

These are just a few examples of the many derived units in the SI system. Each of these units is used to measure a specific quantity and can be expressed in terms of the seven base units.
 
 
here are some more examples of derived units in the International System of Units (SI):

  1. Lumen (lm) for luminous flux: This is equal to one candela steradian (cd·sr).
  2. Lux (lx) for illuminance: This is equal to one lumen per square meter (lm/m²).
  3. Weber (Wb) for magnetic flux: This is equal to one volt second (V·s) or one kilogram meter squared per second squared per ampere (kg·m²/s²·A).
  4. Tesla (T) for magnetic field strength or magnetic flux density: This is equal to one weber per square meter (Wb/m²) or one kilogram per second squared per ampere (kg/s²·A).
  5. Henry (H) for inductance: This is equal to one weber per ampere (Wb/A) or one kilogram meter squared per second squared per ampere squared (kg·m²/s²·A²).
  6. Degree Celsius (°C) for temperature relative to 273.15 K.
  7. Becquerel (Bq) for radioactivity (decays per second): This is equal to one reciprocal second (s⁻¹).
  8. Gray (Gy) for absorbed dose of ionizing radiation: This is equal to one joule per kilogram (J/kg) or one square meter per second squared (m²/s²).
  9. Sievert (Sv) for equivalent dose of ionizing radiation: This is equal to one joule per kilogram (J/kg) or one square meter per second squared (m²/s²).
  10. Katal (kat) for catalytic activity: This is equal to one mole per second (mol/s).

These derived units are used in various fields of science.
