The HAKKO FG-470 wrist strap testeris a device from Japan for testing the reliability of anti-static wrist straps by measuring the contact resistance between the strap and the user's skin. It uses a highly visible LED and buzzer to indicate a "PASS" result and has a mounting holder for easy, one-handed use on a wall or desk. The device is powered by a 9V battery and can also be used portable off its holder.
Features and functionality Functionality: Checks the grounding wire contact resistance between the wrist strap and the operator's skin to prevent damage from static electricity.User feedback: Provides an easy pass/fail judgment via a high-visibility LED light and a buzzer sound for the "PASS" result.
The buzzer will not sound if the test fails.
Design: Features a user-friendly, one-handed operation pad and a banana jack for easy plugging and unplugging.
Portability and mounting: Comes with a dedicated mounting holder that can be attached to a wall or desk with screws. The main unit can be removed from the holder for portable use.Power:
Uses a 9V battery and includes an automatic shutdown function to extend battery life.
Specifications:
Dimensions: Approximately (85 x 44x 90) mm (without holder).Weight: 120g without battery, 160g with holder and without battery.

NOTES:
1. Instructions:
Quick and secure test on the function of wrist strap as being worn
User-friendly design
A user-friendly pad secures pass/fail judgement on a wrist strap.
A banana jack on the front panel makes it easy to plug and unplug a wrist strap.
Indication of test result by LED and buzzer
Highly visible LED lamps and buzzer will indicate test result.
Buzzer sounds only for "PASS".
Dedicated holder included
A mounting holder can make it easy to plug and unplug even with one hand. No tool is required to remove a unit. A unit can be portable off the holder.

Notes:
1.
Hakko FX-888D is already discontinued by Hakko Japan as of March 2025
the rest of the stocks will be the new updated HAKKO FX-888DX, it is also 110V just like all original Hakko items from japan
Hakko FX-888DX & Hakko FX-888D are almost the same except that you can you use higher power soldering iron in the new Hakko fx-888DX
2.
2. OUR BETTER equivalent for the new Hakko fx-888DX, is our highly suggested & widely used HANSTAR 942-90W.
HANSTAR 942-90W uses the same soldering tips used by hakko fx888D & Hakko fx-888DX, but lower price, better in performance, lower maintenance cost at lower cost of the replacement soldering iron ,
but if the clients really want the Hakko fx-888DX, we have stocks to serve you
Features adjustment mode, preset mode, and password function
Separable tip/heater design provides excellent value for money
Reliable digital technology by HAKKO - Introducing the HAKKO FX-888D
Excellent thermal recovery
Heater output has been increased by 30% compared to that of the conventional models HAKKO 936/937. Also FX-888D delivers excellent thermal recovery by using T18 series tips for their terrific heat conductivity. This allows soldering at a lower set temperature and reducing the thermal impact on components as well as tip oxidation that can shorten tip life.
