============
Notes:It is used to provide insulation of printed circuit boards, typically after rework and repair, where it can take the place of permanent solder mask, solder resist or conformal coating. It was designed to insulate printed circuit board tracks, traces and components against high voltage arcing. It also provides protection from moisture and fungus. The pen configuration is useful for rework when precision application is necessary.
Applications
- Touch-up and rework & repair of printed circuit boards
- Replacement of permanent solder resist or mask
- Repair of membrane switch keypads
Directions
Use the Overcoat Pen for the protection of repaired tracks. Depress the pen on hard surface continuously until material is released and starts to flow. Generously apply material over the repair surface. Make sure to overlap onto the original coating to ensure full coverage of application. Allow 24 hours for complete cure at room temperature. For accelerated curing, place in oven for 20 minutes at 50°C, and then again for 30 minutes at 82°C.
