HANSTAR HS-90W (old code: hanstar 2000A) –ESD soldering station
FEATURES:
Brilliant Performance
* Astonished heating speed - Only within 20s to reach 300℃ from room temperature.
* Perfect intelligent soldering effects - Sufficient power varies with the sizes of soldering point.
* Effectively avoid negative impact by cold soldering etc.
* Extraordinary heat recovery -
Incredible temperature compensation speed can solve temperature problems occur during lead-free soldering. It is a better tool for lead-free soldering and lower-temperature soldering.
* Extension of life of soldering tips
Relative lower temperature will largely prolong the life of soldering tips.
● Separate Design between heater and soldering tips . No need to replace the whole unit. Just replace the worn-out soldering tips or iron for BIG savings.
* USES 200 SERIES Soldering Tips
* Now uses the SMPS-
switched-mode power supply , so the high power Hs-90W is lighter in weight, & heats up very fast with minimal energy wasted.
Applied Function
* Auto sleeping, energy-efficient, Temperature will lower to 200deg C when not in use over 20 minutes.
When work is needed again, temperature will reach up to set one rapidly.
*Temperature can be locked by passwords to prevent inadvertent changes.
Specifications:
Power consumption 90W
Output voltage / Frequency 36VAC 400KHz
Temperature range 200 ~ 600deg℃
( the highest temp set- up can easily adjusted to 420, 450, 550, 600degC by just pressing
buttons )
FOR SAFETY reason & to prevent abuse to lengthen the life of the heater & the soldering
tip, the default highest temp is 420degC. However if you truly want the highest temp to go
up to 450, 550, or 600deg C, just press the "UP" button and "*" together, the LED will
shinning (blinking), then you can adjust the highest temperature up to 600deg.C
Input voltage 110V / 220V, 60Hz/50Hz.
Time of temperature rising(20℃ to 350℃) = 25 sec
Temperature Compensation Speed: Very quick
Heating Mode: intelligent
Heating Theory: High frequency current

4. SMPS according to wikipedia:2mv>
A
switched-mode power supply (
switching-mode power supply/
SMPS, or simply
switcher) is an electronic
power supply unit (PSU) that incorporates a switching regulator in order to provide the required output voltage. An SMPS is a power converter that transmits power from a source (e.g., a battery or the electrical
power grid) to a load (e.g., a personal computer). The function of the converter is to provide a regulated output voltage usually at a different level from the input voltage.
Unlike a linear power supply, the pass transistor of a switching mode supply switches very quickly between full-on and full-off states, which minimizes wasted energy. Voltage regulation is provided by varying the ratio of on to off time. In contrast, a linear power supply must dissipate the excess voltage to regulate the output. This higher efficiency is the chief advantage of a switch-mode power supply.
Switching regulators are used as replacements for the linear regulators when higher efficiency, smaller size or lighter weight are required. They are, however, more complicated, their switching currents can cause electrical noise problems if not carefully suppressed, and simple designs may have a poor power factor.
