Product Description:
A surface to be joined that is oily or oxidized will prevent solder from spreading during soldering. This soldering paste removes such oil or oxides and improves wettability. Assists soldering of electrical wiring and electrical components in hobby kits.
Composition and content:
- Vaseline
- 80- 90%
- Zinc
chloride - 4- 6%
- Ammonium
choride - 1- 3%
- Paraffin
- 6- 9%
- Water - 2-4%
notes:
1. How to use:
- Using
the end of a match or toothpick, apply a little soldering paste to the
leads that will be soldered
- Place
the soldering iron tip over the leads.Contact the solder against these
leads. Heat the solder till it flows freely, then quickly move the
soldering iron and solder away.
How to clean:
- Using
the cotton swab apply a little IPA (isopropyl alcohol) on the stain and
wipe it off using tissue paper or a piece of cotton. Remove it completely
to avoid surface corrosion.
CAUTION:
- This
soldering paste is acidic. Flux residue should be removed to avoid surface
corrosion. Not water-soluble.
- BS-10
is not suitable for use on PCBs. Applying BS-10 to printed circuit boards
could result in electric leakage leading to fire as BS-10 contains
electrolyte (a conductive substance).
- Do
not dip the soldering iron tip directly into the soldering paste.
